Joys
Work to do, Plenty of that.
Questions to answer? Bet your hat.
Frocks to launder, dolls to mend,
of these gladsome tasks there is no end.
Children happy, Yes all three,
bringing their youthful joys to me.
When they’re grown and scattered away
they’ll come back to me some day,
And gladly share with their mother dear,
The joys of age as she lingers here.
