I Love the Open CountryI love the open country,The wind & clouds & sky; The waving fields of ripening wheat and pastures green near-by, And cattle grazing happily at any time of day; The winding road that seems to lead to places far away, And over all a soft, gray fog, Comes creeping on its way. Day is over, the sun has set, and night wraps all The sun going down red behind the distant hills (unfinished and unsigned) Return to Top |
